2 elderly sisters found murdered in Goa


Ponda (Goa)[India], 18 October (ANI): Two elderly sisters were found dead in Goa’s Ponda and the accused was arrested.

Ponda police station received a telephone call that two women were lying in a pool of blood in their kitchen in Ponda Goa on Saturday.

The police team visited the spot and it was observed that two women were identified as Mangala Kamat, 75, and her sister Jeevan Kamat, 65, both of whom were allegedly murdered by an unidentified person, police said. he said.

The detailed complaint was filed by Pritish Kamat, son of the deceased Magala Kamat. After this a case was registered under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

During the course of the investigation, several teams were formed and tasked with creating specific leads with the investigation.

According to the Ponda police, the case was investigated from different angles to identify the accused. Several people were questioned and a search operation was conducted in the entire area.

The CCTV footage of the crime scene and the surrounding was examined. Cell phone details were also verified and Mahadev Ghadi was nabbed who committed the crime.

During interrogation he confessed to having committed the crime and revealed that he had taken a loan from the deceased Jeevan Kamat.

Police said that the accused further told that the deceased Jeevan Kamat was forcing him to return his amount and being unable to return the money, he also killed Jeevan Kamat and then his sister Mangala Kamat. (ANI)
