Bangalore: “We have to be prepared for a possible third wave of COVID-19,” Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Saturday, adding that 2022 will be challenging from an economic and administrative point of view.
Wishing the officials here a Happy New Year, Bommai said, “We have to be prepared for a possible third wave of COVID-19 as well as propelling the economy. We cannot sit back by imposing restrictions. We have to face it.” There is need. Different strategies. We have to work with more vigor to deal with it.”
He also asked the officers to cut wasteful expenditure in their respective departments. Bommai asked the revenue generating departments to increase their efficiency to improve the finances of the state, reported ANI.
Bommai said, “We should face the challenge with a positive attitude. Good thinking leads to good work. Good work leads to good life. Love your work which will bring good results.”
The Chief Minister said, “Our government is such that has the least interference in the administration in the last 5 months. Act according to your discretion. Let your experience prove to be helpful for the poor.”
