25 Chinese aircraft violate Taiwan air space on China’s National Day

Taiwan’s defense ministry said that its air force had driven down 25 Chinese planes that had infiltrated the country’s air defenses. China carried out the incursion on October 1, the founding day of the People’s Republic of China.

According to media reports, on the occasion of its National Day, China made a major infiltration into the Air Defense Zone of Taiwan on Friday.

Taiwan’s defense ministry said that its air force had driven down 25 Chinese planes that had infiltrated the country’s air defenses. China infiltrated the People’s Republic of China on 1 October, the founding day of the People’s Republic of China.

This is not the first time that Chinese planes have infiltrated Taiwan’s defense sector. Last month itself, China demonstrated its strength by sending 19 fighter jets to Taiwan’s defense sector on Thursday. During the last one year, China has taken such steps several times.

Taiwan has been complaining about these incursions. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said in a statement that it has deployed its air patrol in response to the incursion by Chinese aircraft.

Taiwan’s defense ministry said the latest incursions included 18 J-16s, four Sukhoi-30 fighter jets from China, H-6 bombers capable of carrying nuclear weapons and an anti-submarine aircraft. As soon as the infiltration was detected, Taiwan sent fighter jets to warn the Chinese planes.

The Chinese plane took off in the vicinity of Pratas. No official statement has been issued by China regarding this incursion. Taiwan has deployed missile systems for surveillance.
