4 packets of contraband items seized by security forces in Punjab's Ferozepur


Ferozepur (Punjab) [India], Oct 15 (ANI): Security forces on Thursday recovered four packets of banned material suspected to be heroin in Punjab’s Ferozepur district, informed the Border Security Force (BSF).

“A joint operation of BSF, a team of Narcotics Control Cell (NCC), Punjab Police carried out in front of the Border Security Fence in the area of ​​BOP Island and recovered four packets of banned items suspected to be heroin, weighing about 6.610 kg. and 1.135 kg sugar- total net weight – 7.945 kg, without packing material,” the BSF said.

This is the second seizure in BOP Tapu’s AOR since January 2021, which was 7.050 kg and the total progressive seizure of suspected heroin in Ferozepur area is 94.786 kg.
