5 held for hurling bomb at Odisha BJP MLA's vehicle

Kendujhar (Odisha) [India], October 15 (ANI): Odisha Police on Thursday arrested five persons for hurling country-made bombs at the vehicle of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Mohan Manjhi in Kendujhar district.

According to Superintendent of Police, Kendujhar, Mitrabhanu Mohapatra, the attack on Manjhi was a result of some financial disputes and personal issues.

At the same time, MLA Mohan Manjhi alleged that there is a conspiracy to hide the truth and demanded the removal of SP.

He also sought the intervention of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the matter for further investigation.

One of the accused told the police that the MLA had promised him some tender or work, but he did not get anything, so he tried to throw bombs at him twice. (ANI)
