The BKU leader said the farmers would withdraw the protest and return home after the government accepted their demand for a law on Minimum Support Price (MSP).

New Delhi: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait said on Wednesday that on November 29, 500 farmers will reach Delhi by 30 tractors.

He further said that other details regarding this would be disclosed after a meeting on November 26, which marks the first anniversary of farmers’ protest against three agricultural laws, which were recently announced by the Center earlier. was done. this month.

“On November 29, 500 farmers will go to Delhi on 30 tractors. Details will be provided after a meeting on November 26, which will mark the first anniversary of our protest,” Tikait said.

“The tractors will pass through the roads, which have been opened by the government. We were accused of blocking the roads. We did not block the road. Blocking the roads is not our movement. Perhaps, our movement is to talk to the government. We will go straight to Parliament.’

The winter session of Parliament will begin from November 29 and is expected to continue till December 23.

He further said, “We will withdraw our protest and go home after the government accepts our demand for legislation on Minimum Support Price (MSP). We do not intend to stay on the Delhi border till January 26. If the government on MSP If we accept our demand and demand for compensation for 750 farmers killed during the protest, we will go back home.”

Regarding campaigning against the BJP, the farmer leader said, “The decision to campaign against the BJP will be taken only after the model code of conduct is put in place. Now the government is working, let them do it.” (ANI)
