70 percent drop in loot, 29 percent drop in murders under Yogi Adityanath government in UP: Amit Shah

Ballia (Uttar Pradesh): Union Home Amit Shah on Sunday said Uttar Pradesh was number one in crime under Akhilesh Yadav’s regime and now under the Yogi Adityanath government there has been a decline in the crime rate in the state.

Addressing a public meeting in Ballia, Amit Shah said, “Under SP – loot, murder, rape were at number 1. Akhilesh, shame on you! How can you come to people seeking votes? You have not done anything for the people. There has been a 70 per cent decline in loot, 29 per cent in murders under the leadership of Yogi ji.”

The Home Minister further said that these ‘familyists’ have committed atrocities on the poor during their tenure.

Shah said, “Earlier, government land was snatched by ‘bahubalis’. Dalits, deprived, everyone was deprived. These familyists committed atrocities against the poor during their tenure. BJP freed people’s land from land mafia. ”

He further said that SP, BSP, Congress party have done nothing but spread the poison of casteism and give strength to the mafia while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done the work of securing the country.

The Home Minister promised that the youth going for higher education would be given smartphones, laptops. He said that the BJP government will do the work of giving free scooties to the daughters going for higher education.

The fifth phase of polling was held today in Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Barabaki, Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Amethi and Rae Bareli districts.

Polling for the remaining two phases will be held on March 3 and March 7. The counting of votes will take place on March 10. (ANI)
