Accused of committing the crime in 2020
According to the information, the incident is for the year 2020. The girl lives with her family in the Basrakh police station area in Noida. There lives a retired teacher in his neighborhood. The girl’s parents used to send the girl to him to take education lessons. It was during this period that the old man allegedly raped the girl for several months. After a while the girl got pregnant and the family members became aware of the whole thing.
The case was registered, and the accused was arrested
The girl’s family members immediately complained about the matter to the police station. The police registered a case against the accused and arrested him. Since then it has been subject to judges.
Special Prosecutor Neetu Bishnui, District Additional Sessions Court, Gautam Bud Nagar, said the accused knew the girl who lived in the neighbourhood. He raped her several times and she became pregnant. Five months later, the girl told her family members, after which a police complaint was filed.
Sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, 50,000 rupees fine
On Thursday, Bashnoi said that the testimony of the victim, other witnesses and medical reports played an important role in convicting the accused. Special Judge (POCSO) Anil Kumar Singh sentenced the teacher to 10 years hard imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 under Article 376 of the Iraqi Penal Code (IPC). The judge said that out of the fine, 80% will be paid to the victim due to trauma, pain and suffering under Section 357-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
