7th Pay Commission: Good news for central employees, DA hiked by 3%


7th Pay Commission: The central government has given a big gift to more than 50 lakh government employees and over 65 lakh pensioners. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) of central employees. This time the DA (DA Hike) has been increased by 3 percent. A final decision in this regard has been taken in the meeting of the Union Cabinet.

All central employees will get the benefit of increased dearness allowance from January 1, 2022. Now it has been decided to give 34 percent dearness allowance to the employees and pensioners. Earlier there was a provision of 31 per cent.

After the increase of 3% in dearness allowance, along with the March salary of the employees, the new DA will be credited to the account. Along with the increase in Dearness Allowance (DA), arrears for January-February will also be given.

If we look at the calculation of minimum basic salary when dearness allowance is 34 percent, then the minimum basic salary of a central employee is Rs 18,000. After the DA is 34 per cent, it will increase to Rs 6,120 per month. That is, it will increase by Rs 540 per month.

If we look at the salary on an annual basis, then there will be an increase of Rs 6,480 in it. At the same time, there will be an increase in the maximum basic salary by Rs 1707. Accordingly, the salary of these employees will increase by Rs 20,484 on an annual basis.
