Abhishek Banerjee, Shwetaabh Singh join hands together for ‘Freaks’

New Delhi: You can’t expect less than talent when two progressive and innovative filmmakers come together. Yes, the wait to see the magic of Shwetabh Singh, who is on his way to bring Indian cinema on the world map, is finally over.

Shwetabh and Abhishek Banerjee have made it official that they will start their production house Freaks. But this is not where they started their journey together. Belonging to the same college and theater society “The Players” that abs have given many stalwarts to the industry, they go back a long way.

Speaking about the same, Shwetabh Singh said, “Abhishek is someone I have always looked up to since college. We each relate as we belong to the same school of sensitivity. I am always looking for new talents, stories and Would like to support innovation. Thoughts. Abhishek through his work has always been doing exactly the same whether as an actor or as a casting director. The path he has carved himself is something that Gives me a lot of confidence. It’s not a start for us, but it’s a continuation of our journey that started long ago in college.”

Similarly, Abhishek Banerjee said, “With Freaks, Shwetaabh and I plan to create a cinema that is powerful, but relatable. Not only in terms of idea but something that is different in treatment and execution as well. I am excited to collaborate with him because from college theater to cinema making is a journey where we have moved parallel and together a lot.Shwetabh is an FTII graduate and his thoughts shine through his work.Our vision aligns perfectly Is. “

Freak will give a platform to young talents from every nook and corner of the country. It will collaborate with new writers, filmmakers, camerapersons, etc. The powerhouse duo aims to create unconventional, unique and out-of-box movies with their venture.

Actually, Abhishek says, “We have completed a short together, which we will announce soon. We are really excited as this is going to be one of the most unique and expensive shorts ever made in India.”

New age producer Shwetabh Singh’s previous films, Just Like That and Ib Alle Ooo! was well received and won several awards at various international film festivals. Meanwhile, Abhishek Banerjee was praised for his performances in the recently released Rashmi Rocket in Stree, Mirzapur, Unposed, and Untold Kahani – to name a few. Their coming together guarantees something sensational.
