Los Angeles: Grammy-winning singer Adele recently opened up about her upcoming album ’30’, her divorce and her inevitable return to the limelight. Adele married businessman in 2018 when she was 30 years old — the album’s title name — and said the record would encourage those lost in a relationship to move on.

According to Variety, Adele had her first sit-down interview with British Vogue in five years. The star, who gave her last one-on-one interview in 2016, said, “I have to prepare myself to be famous again, which, famously, I really don’t like.” Over the past five years, the “Hello” star has been raising her son Angelo and has married and divorced her now ex-husband Simon Konecki. Adele said the new album explains the changes in her life but ultimately a letter to her now 9-year-old son.

“My son has a lot of questions. Really good questions, really innocent questions that I just don’t have an answer for… (like) Why can’t you still be together? … I just like Felt I wanted to explain through this record to them, when they are in their twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to spend my whole life in search of my happiness. It made them really sad sometimes And it’s a real wound for me that I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to heal,” she said.

She said, “Can you imagine the couple listening to this in the car? That would be so weird. I think a lot of women are going to be like, ‘My job is done.'”

The star explained what she expects in ’30, comparing it to her previous two blockbusters: “I was drunk as a fart on ’21; I really don’t remember much, I remember That I was really sad. At ’25, ‘I was obviously as cool as anything since I was a new mom. That one, more in line with what I thought people wanted or didn’t want. With that, I made a very conscious decision to be like, for the first time in my life, really, ‘What do I want?'”

All she wanted was a resume working with Greg Kurstin, who paired well with her in ’25’, and Max Martin, Inflo (known for her work with Salt) and Swedish composer and producer Ludwig Göransson, who won. Academy Award for his ‘Black Panther’ score and collaborated with Childish Gambino. There are no special guests on record.

Ultimately, Adele said that ’30’ is a rollercoaster of emotions: “I think this album is self-destruction, then self-reflection, and then self-redemption. But I feel ready. I really want to.” That people listen to my side. Story this time.”

Adele also appeared on the cover of the US edition of Vogue, which had a completely different storyline as well as different cover shoots. This is the first time the same person has fronted both the Vogues together.

’30’ first single ‘Easy on Me’ is releasing on October 15.
