An Afghan woman who moved to Kabul after being displaced from Baghlan province sold her infant because of poverty.
He sold his one-and-a-half-year-old child for Afghani 30,000 to treat his 13-year-old daughter, who had fallen ill, Tolonews reports.
Laluma, who lives in a tent in Kabul, said she had to sell her baby as she had no other option.

She also said that her husband has been missing since last year.
Meanwhile, many families who are being displaced and now living in Kabul are facing many challenges as winter approaches.
Many families living in tents say that their children are getting sick during the cold weather.
The displaced families said they had not received any help from the Taliban-led refugee ministry.
Ayesha, a displaced woman from Takhar, said, “People from the refugee ministry came here and conducted a survey, but they have not given any help so far. If this situation continues, we will starve,” Ayesha, a displaced woman from Takhar, reported.
