Akshay Kumar turns down Hera Pher, Welcome and Awara…

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar is currently basking in the success of his recently released Ram Sethu. Well, Firoz Nadiadwala went round the actor’s office and offered him the sequels of the comedy series – Hera Pheri, Welcome and Awara Pagal Deewana.

Now, according to the latest reports, the talks between the actor and Firoz Nadiadwala seem to be dying down as Akki was not convinced about the quality and vision of the sequel concepts.

Why did Akshay Kumar reject Firoz Nadiadwala’s pitch?

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Hera Pheri, Welcome and Awara Pagal Deewana are three of Akshay Kumar’s most loved franchises and he was quite keen to return to iconic films. However, after several rounds of meetings, he has decided to take a step back as he could not to go along with the broad script ideas,” the source revealed. “Akshay Kumar is well aware of the fans’ expectations for him in these comedy series. He refused to compromise on the quality of these Scripts as attempts to remake these sequels without proper thought and with other actors have already failed.”

The source adds, “Akshay Kumar already has a busy schedule and chooses his upcoming scripts very carefully. He might choose a fresh new comedy rather than riding on the popularity of past franchises with half-baked scripts.

Meanwhile, a source close to Nadiadwala’s production house told a media portal that the producer is now approaching other actors on the same issue.
