According to the latest inputs by sources and reports, the couple was considering second week of April for their low key wedding taking into consideration Alia’s maternal grandfather’s fragile health condition. A source close to the couple has now confirmed to a leading website that April 17 is the final wedding date.
The source said, “Alia’s grandfather N Razdan wanted to see her getting married to Ranbir. A hush hush wedding has thus been planned on April 17 which will be a close knit family affair. The ceremony will be held at RK Studios and nothing extravagant has been planned yet.”
On the other hand, a leading journal reported that Ranbir is all set to host a grand bachelor’s party ahead of his wedding. A source was quoted saying, “Ranbir is extremely close to Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Ayan Mukerji. The actor is planning a bachelor’s party at his place. It will be attended by his close buddies from the world of showbiz and his childhood friends. This is Ranbir’s way of throwing an impromptu bachelor’s party.”
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been dating each other for years now and are often seen talking about their delayed wedding. Recently, while promoting his late father Rishi Kapoor’s last film Sharmaji Namkeen, Ranbir Kapoor said, “I won’t give out a date during a media interaction. But Alia and I have all the intentions of getting married soon, so yes, hopefully soon.”
Earlier, Alia said, “In my head, I am married to Ranbir, in fact, I am married to Ranbir in my head for a long time.”
