Amazon cuts off Prime Video, halts retail shipments to Russia

Moscow, Russia): E-commerce giant Amazon has suspended access to Prime Video in Russia.

In addition, Amazon is no longer shipping retail orders to customers in both Russia and Belarus, the company said, CNN reported.

It is also not selling the recently released online multiplayer video game New World in Russia.

“Given the current situation in Russia and Ukraine, we have taken additional action in this area,” Amazon said in a blog post. “We have suspended shipments of retail products to customers located in Russia and Belarus, and we will no longer accept new Russia and Belarus-based AWS customers and Amazon third-party sellers. We offer access to Prime Video for customers in Russia, and we will no longer take orders for New World, the only video game we sell directly in Russia.”

This comes amid Russia’s ongoing military operations in Ukraine.
