Amazon India and Magenta EV team up to bring electric vehicles, charging infra to Hyderabad

Amazon India and Magenta Mobility, an Indian provider of integrated electric mobility and charging solutions, have announced a new venture. As part of the collaboration, the two companies will work to introduce an electric vehicle fleet comprising two- and four-wheel electric vehicles for Amazon India’s delivery partners. Amazon India has partnered with other providers like Sun Mobility and Mahindra Electric to accelerate the conversion of its fleet to all-electric. In 2020, Amazon India announced that it would include 10,000 electric vehicles in its delivery fleet by 2025. This is part of its overall progress towards The Climate Pledge – a commitment to achieve net zero carbon by 2040, 10 years before the Paris Agreement. The induction of these electric vehicles adds to Amazon’s global commitment of 100,000 electric vehicles by 2030.
