Amitabh Bachchan to Anupam Kher, B-town extends ‘lakh lakh vadhaiyaan’ on Gurupurab


New Delhi: On the birth anniversary of the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti on Sunday, several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to wish their fans.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his Twitter handle, “T 4154 – Guru Gobind Singh Ji Jayanti … Guru Purab Diyan Lakh Lakh Vadhaiyan.”

Vicky Kaushal shared a picture of Guru Gobind Singh Ji on his Instagram story. He further wrote, “Happy Gurupurab.”

The Punjabi actor, who recently starred in Kabir Khan’s ’83’, also wished his fans by sharing a picture of Guru Gobind Singh Ji on Instagram.

Randeep Hooda also wished him on his Instagram story, which read, “Happy Gurpurab. A warrior, a poet and a philosopher. Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru.”

Anupam Kher posted a message in Punjabi on his Twitter handle, which read, “Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji De Prakash Purab Di Lakh Lakh Vadhai.” The actor shared a poster tribute with an image of the tenth Sikh Guru.

This year, on January 9, the Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh Ji is being celebrated.

Born in Patna Sahib, Bihar, Gobind Rai, Guru Gobind Singh Ji was the tenth and last of the Sikh Gurus in human form. After the martyrdom of his father, the ninth Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur, he was enthroned at the age of nine in the ‘Guru Gaddi’.
