Another Digital Lok Adalat registered more than 1.35 billion cases in Rajasthan, Maharashtra state


New Delhi: The fourth national level Lok Adalat planned by the National Legal Services Authority for 2022 has started in various states. The second Digital Lok Adalat designed and developed by Jupitice will also start on the day in the states of Rajasthan and Maharashtra. After the success of the Digital Lok Adalat held earlier, which cleared a record amount of Rs.833,513,857, the number of cases registered in the fourth Digital Lok Adalat increased tremendously in the states of Rajasthan and Maharashtra.

Both Rajasthan and Maharashtra with the technology partnership of Indian JusTech company Jupitic have repeated history for the second consecutive time after registering a record number of cases on the Digital Lok Adalat platform. According to available information, after the launch of Digital Lok Adalat Platform over 13.5 million cases including pending court cases, pre-trial cases and challan cases were registered on the platform.

End-to-end Digital Lok Adalat, packed with features and capabilities that enable and empower all stakeholders in the justice system, has proven to be formidable in easing the back-end administrative work of legal service authorities. More than 70 million notifications were sent to the parties by e-mail and text message. After the success of the first Digital Lok Adalat, the 2nd Digital Lok Adalat took up cases from 633 Talukas of 81 districts in Rajasthan and Maharashtra region.

In the digital Lok Adalat, disputes related to refunds, electricity bills and other bill payments, tele-disputes, banking lawsuits and civil cases were resolved through negotiations between the parties. The second Digital Lok Adalat marked another milestone in the history of the Indian judicial system. More than 400 judges, 39,576 lawyers and 1,029 paralegals used the platform to conduct trials and generate automatic real-time awards.
