Anshu Malik’s previous performance
Malik’s first breakthrough performance came at the 2017 Cadet World Championships. He won the gold medal in the 60 kg freestyle category. Malik had previously won two bronze medals at the Cadet World Championships before winning the gold. He won his first major silver medal at the Junior World Championships in 2018.
He won silver in the 59 kg category in Trnava, Slovakia. Anshu Malik has proved his strength in the Asian Championships twice. Malik managed to win a gold medal, his first at a major international event, at the 2021 Asian Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He has made a name for himself and is a feared opponent on the Asian circuit.
