Apple to manufacture iPhone 14 series in India: Sources

New Delhi: Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 14 series in September this year, and according to sources, it will be produced simultaneously in China and India.

As a result of recent geopolitical concerns, the Cupertino-based company will manufacture the Apple iPhone 14 series in India, which includes the iPhone 14, iPhone Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max, according to market analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo said in his tweets that Foxconn’s iPhone factory in India would start supplying iPhone 14 models with Chinese manufacturers.

Although Apple has been manufacturing iPhones in India for a few years, the country’s production is rumored to be at least 25% lower than China’s.

The 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models, which are said to be manufactured by Foxconn, are apparently manufactured there. According to reports, the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max would also have 6.7-inch screens.

Kuo sees that Indian production plants would initially lag behind China in iPhone deliveries. However, due to current geopolitical developments, the tech giant’s decision to build a manufacturing facility outside of China could be an “important milestone.” As a possible next important market area to accelerate the company’s growth, Apple is reportedly also focusing on the Indian market.

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 14 at a price of $799, which is the same price as the iPhone 13 (around Rs 64,000).
