Apple’s next sports-focused smartwatch could be called Watch Series 8 Pro


Apple is expected to launch three smartwatch models this year. These will likely be Apple Watch Series 8, the new Apple Watch Series SE model, and a rugged model. Expected features of the Apple Watch Series 8 “Pro”

In the newsletter, Gurman hints that said Apple Watch Series 8 Pro will likely feature a larger, “shatter-resistant” screen. In terms of other features, it will come with “enhanced hiking and swimming tracking, longer battery life.” As for the design, this Apple Watch is expected to come with a bulkier and more robust case. Most of what Gurman talked about in today’s bulletin he has already reported – or other analysts have also talked about. He thinks the Pro features of this next Apple Watch will be a larger, more shock-resistant screen, improved hiking and swimming tracking, longer battery life, and a heavier, more robust case made Made from premium metal material, not aluminum.

This rumored smartwatch is expected to be powered by the S8 chipset which is the same as the Watch Series 7 and Series 6 models. It could also house a body temperature sensor that will detect and alert the user in case of a fever. Notably, the smartwatch might not reveal exactly the exact temperature rise.

In terms of price, the Apple Watch Series 8 Pro is expected to cost around $900 to $999 (around Rs 70,000 to 80,000).

In a previous report, Gurman had suggested that this Rugged Edition model will have a larger screen measuring 2 inches in diagonal length. That’s slightly larger than the Apple Watch Series 7’s 1.9-inch display. The standard Watch Series 8 will continue with the 1.9-inch display, according to the report.
