New Delhi: The online application process to fill 50 vacancies of Forest Rangers has started and will continue till January 27, 2022. Selected candidates will be placed in Assam Forest Service under Environment and Forest Department. Interested applicants can apply online through official website – apsc.nic.in. can submit through

Through the recruitment drive, Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) will hire 50 candidates for the mentioned post. The last date to make payment is January 30, 2022.

Selected candidate will get pay scale, grade pay and other allowances as admissible to Assam State Government employees from time to time (per month).

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Science or Engineering of any recognized University with at least one of the following subjects:-

I. Agriculture

II Botany

iii. Chemistry

iv. Computer Application / Computer Science

Applicant’s age should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 years as on 01-01-2021. However, there has been some relaxation in it. Read the official notification to know.

The application fee for general category is Rs. 285, for SC / ST / OBC / MOBC it is total 185.40, while BPL will have to pay Rs 35.40. After registration, it is necessary to make payment otherwise the application will be rejected without notice. However, the same action will be taken if any document submitted by the applicant is found to be incorrect or improper.

Persons who are already in regular Government service, whether in permanent or temporary capacity other than on casual/ad hoc/daily pay/hourly pay/contract basis, will have to submit a declaration that they have submitted a declaration to their Head of Office/Department. informed in writing that they have applied for the post.

Candidates who qualify the walking test (after qualifying the written test) and are found fit in the medical examination will be called for interview.

The written test will be held at Guwahati. The list of candidates whose applications are found valid or rejected after scrutiny will be made available on the website of Assam Public Service Commission (www.apsc.nic.in) showing the grounds of rejection in due course.
