In a statement on Friday, the Indian Army said that based on specific information, a search was conducted in the area where two AK rifles, two pistols, drugs and war-like stores were found.

“The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint operation on December 1. After receiving specific comments, research was conducted in the area. Two AK rifles, two pistols, drug and war-like stores were found,” the statement said.
Security forces thwart infiltration attempt in Uri
A joint team of security forces foiled an infiltration attempt in Baramulla district of North Kashmir’s Uri district. They also sought ways to smuggle arms and drugs across the Line of Control (LoC).
Security forces recovered two AK-74 rifles, two AK Magazines, 117 rounds of ammunition, two pistols, two pistol magazines and ten packages of suspected contraband.
