Asaduddin Owaisi condemns Mohan Bhagwat's speech on population policy, calls it "full of lies and half-truths"


Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Oct 15 (ANI): AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday condemned Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat’s speech in Maharashtra and called it “full of lies and half-truths”.

Owaisi opposed the proposal for a population policy in the country and alleged that the Muslim population growth rate has seen the sharpest decline.

Owaisi wrote in a series of tweets, “As always, RSS Mohan’s speech today was full of lies and half-truths. He called for population policy and repeated the lie that Muslim and Christian population has increased. Muslim population growth The rate has increased. There was the sharpest decline among all. There is no ‘demographic imbalance’.”

“There is a need to worry about the social evils of child marriage and sex-selective abortion. 84 percent of married children are Hindu. Between 2001–2011, the Muslim female-male ratio increased from 936 to 951 females per 1000 Muslims. Male. But, Hindu ratio only increased from 931 to 939,” he tweeted.

The AIMIM chief said that India has already achieved replacement level fertility rate without any coercive population policy. He tweeted, “Similarly, the fact-free Mohan is concerned about India’s growing population and the need for a young population to help the aging population. He should tell his student PM Modi about it.”

The AIMIM said that no one has destroyed India’s demographic dividend, the AIMIM said and added that, “India’s majority is young, they lack education, government support and jobs. What is the future of that country” Whose PM can’t promise anything more than anything. Pakoras stalls?”

Owaisi highlighted that a population control policy would mean fewer youth in the working age group.

The Lok Sabha MP further alleged, “RSS chief Mohan also said that people in Kashmir are taking advantage of abrogation of Article 370. Is it this year with the targeted killings of 29 civilians? Expressing concern over the “population imbalance” in the country, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said the country’s population policy should be reconsidered.

In his annual Vijayadashami address, the RSS chief said, “While re-imagining the country’s development, a situation comes to the fore which worries many. The rapid growth of the country’s population may give rise to many problems in the near future. ” (ANI)
