Launching the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the campaign has the power to revolutionize healthcare in India.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the launch Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission campaign said that the campaign Has the power to bring revolutionary changes in healthcare in India.
“Today is starting a mission which has the power to revolutionize healthcare facilities in India. Ayushman Bharat scheme was implemented three years ago on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Glad that from today Ayushman Bharat Digital across the country. The mission is being launched.” PM Modi said. The Prime Minister said that the campaign which has been going on for the last seven years to strengthen the health services of the country is entering a new phase from today.
He also talked about the Aarogya Setu app and said that it has helped a lot in containing the spread of COVID-19 infection.
He said, “Under the Open Vaccine Campaign, we have been successful in making the vaccine accessible to all. India today is capable of administering about 90 crore doses of the vaccine and Co-Win has a big role in this.”
PM Modi said there has also been an unprecedented expansion of telemedicine during the pandemic period.
PM Modi said, ‘Around 125 crore remote consultations have been completed through e-Sanjeevani. .
The Prime Minister further said that through Ayushman Bharat-PM-Jai, the government has been successful in eliminating the great concern of the lives of the poor. “Under this scheme so far more than 2 crore countrymen have availed the facility of free treatment. Half of the beneficiaries are our mothers, sisters, daughters,” he said.
“130 crore Aadhaar numbers…118 crore mobile customers…about 80 crore internet users…about 43 crore Jan Dhan bank accounts…Nowhere in the world does such a large connected infrastructure exist. This digital infrastructure Taking the framework is the administration’s part to deliver ration to the common Indian in a fast and transparent manner,” the Prime Minister said.
PM Modi on Monday launched Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission through video conferencing.
The pilot project of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission was announced by the Prime Minister on August 15 last year from the ramparts of the Red Fort. Presently, this program is being implemented on a pilot basis in six Union Territories.
