Ramesh said that throughout the foot march across the state, they have observed that people are oppressed under the rule of the present KCR government saying that there is no difference between the latter and the Narendra Modi government.
After a day or respite, the Congress on Saturday launched its Bharata Jodo Yatra from Choutkar in Telangana which will rest in Gadi Peddapur at the end of the day.
The Congress mega rally has traversed Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka which has now reached Telangana.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi started the walk from Kanniyakumari on 7 September. The ‘Padyatra’ would end in Kashmir the following year.
Before entering Maharashtra on November 7, the yatra would travel through 19 Assembly and 7 Parliament seats in the state, covering a combined distance of 375 kilometers.
The big party has claimed that the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ was the first ever longest foot march by a politician in the history of India.
The ‘Yatra’ will cover 19 assembly districts and 7 parliamentary districts during its 16-day journey where it will cover 375 kilometers.
