BHU will conduct semester-end exam in hybrid mode

Varanasi: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has decided to conduct the semester end examination in hybrid mode. The officials have given the option to the students to choose between any medium to appear in the exam.

Those who are appearing in the exam in offline mode, the exam will be in Open Book Exam (OBE) format.

Earlier, the university had released an official notification announcing the resumption of offline classes for all programs except first year batches from two faculties. These instructions came after a meeting called by the Vice-Chancellor.

Chandra Shekhar Gwari, Assistant Information and Public Relations Officer, BHU said, “After almost two years of complete offline classes and activities, Banaras Hindu University is all set to welcome students to the campus with few exceptions. The university decided to open (Except few first year batches) in offline mode.”

In an official notification, the university has informed that the classes for the final year will start immediately, while the classes for the remaining years will be conducted on February 21 in offline mode.

Meanwhile, the first year classes of all courses in Institute of Science, Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences, Law, Education, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Commerce, SVDV and MMV will be conducted in online mode. The decision on reopening it will be taken in the coming time.

The Institute of Medical Sciences will also reopen its campus for individual classes.

The university had directed to conduct classes in offline mode for all PhD programs along with classes in Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Faculty of Management Studies and Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development.
