Before Mahaparinirvana, Lord Buddha preached in this posture to his disciples of Bodh Gaya. The place is there. Lord Buddha had attained enlightenment, so this idol is being built here.”
He said that this mudra idol of Lord Buddha is in Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh where he attained his Mahaparinirvana. He further informed that the giant statue of Lord Buddha will be opened for devotees from February 2023.
