Bihar man arrested for threatening Mukesh Ambani


New Delhi: Mumbai police on Thursday arrested a man from Bihar’s Darbhanga for allegedly making threatening calls to blow up the Ambani family-owned Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital.

Mumbai police arrested a person from Bihar in a joint operation with Bihar police.

The man, identified as Rakesh Kumar Mishra, is an unemployed youth living in Brahmpura village. The police bring him back to Mumbai.

The police also found the cell phone he was using to make the calls.

Mumbai Deputy Commissioner of Police Neelotpal said: The calls were traced and the accused was identified and arrested from Darbhanga village. He will be brought to court on Friday. Further investigation is underway.

The accused has been convicted under Section 506(2)507 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

A threatening call to Ambani

On Wednesday, the landline of Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital received a call from an unknown number. The caller threatened to blow up the hospital and threatened in the name of some members of the Ambani family.

Reliance Hospital received a call on its landline number at 12:57 PM.

After this, a case was registered at DB Marg police station and the Mumbai police is investigating the matter further.
