Bihar: Merely meeting the opposition will not be enough: Prashant Kishore

New Delhi: Poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Saturday commented on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s trip to unite opposition to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said mere meetings are not enough, you have to have a credible face.

Kishor said: “He (Bihar CM Nitish Kumar) left the BJP just a month ago and is meeting with leaders and parties opposed to the BJP, but it won’t make much of a difference.”

“For that we need a credible face, public faith, manpower and mass movement (for the 2024 elections),” he added.

Speaking to reporters, Yechury said: “We welcome that he (Nitish Kumar) has come to this office again. This is a positive sign for politics in the country. Opposition parties must work together to save the country and the constitution.”
