New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party President Jagat Prakash Nadda on Monday said that he has tested positive for the COVID-19 infection.
The BJP chief said he was fine and self-isolating. “After seeing initial symptoms I got my COVID-19 test done. My report has come positive. I am feeling fine now. On the advice of doctors, I have self-isolated. Have come in contact. For days requested to get themselves tested,” Nadda tweeted in Hindi.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister of State for Defense Ajay Bhatt also tested positive for COVID-19 today.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday said that India is currently witnessing a surge in COVID-19 cases and 1,79,723 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, taking the country The daily positivity rate has gone up to 13.29 percent. ,
