BJP promises Delhi corruption-free homes


New Delhi: BJP leaders Manoj Tiwari and Adesh Gupta Thursday launched their ‘Vacchan Batra’ manifesto to the municipality Establishment The Delhi (MCD) elections are scheduled for December 4.

The BJP in Vachan Patra promised to improve civic facilities and slum dwellers’ homes and end corruption in the national capital.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has allocated more than 3,000 newly constructed apartments in the economically weakest section of Delhi as part of an on-site slum rehabilitation project. These houses were handed over to the slum dwellers of Bomahin camp.

With the MCD polling only two months away, the BJP has already endorsed the list of Election Commission members.

The panel includes prominent party figures such as politician-turned-cricketer Gautam Gambhir who has been vocal against opposition parties in Delhi since joining.

Among the names on the panel are Delhi BJP Chairman Adesh Gupta, Manoj Tiwari, Pawan Sharma, Ashish Sood, Kuljit Singh Chahal and Harsh Malhotra.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which had a clean sweep in the Delhi 2022 Legislative Assembly polls will also announce Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s 10 guarantees for the MCD polls.

Delhi MP, CM Manish Sisodia, made the announcement after a brief meeting with party leaders regarding preparations for the MCD elections.

The polls will be conducted in 250 constituencies across Delhi. Votes will be counted on December 7.
