BJP’s ‘great victory’ is the result of people’s ‘unshakeable’ faith in PM Modi’s welfare policies for poor, farmers: Amit Shah

new Delhi: With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) all set to return to power in four states – Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday thanked the people of the states for reposing their faith in the BJP. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“BJP’s spectacular victory in Uttar Pradesh is a victory of unwavering faith of the poor and farmers of the state in PM Narendra Modi. People have put their stamp on the corruption-free good governance of Yogi Adityanath ji. I express my heartfelt gratitude. I salute the people of Uttar Pradesh for expressing unwavering faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji in 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2022,” Amit Shah tweeted.

Thanks to the people of Uttarakhand for giving BJP a chance to serve again. Devbhoomi has expressed unwavering faith in the development works and public welfare policies of the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Congratulations to the workers of Pushkar Singh Dhami. Madan Kaushik and BJP Uttarakhand,” Shah said.

The Union Home Minister said that the BJP’s return to power in Manipur is proof that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special place in the hearts of the people of the Northeast.

“Thank you, Manipur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s resolve for a prosperous North-East has earned him a special place in the hearts of the people of our Northeast region, this victory is a testament to that. To CM N Biren Singh ji Congratulations, Adhikarimayum Sharada Devi ji and our workers,” Shah said.

Amit Shah on Goa said, “Grateful to the people of Goa for reposing faith in the BJP. Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the BJP will leave no stone unturned to fulfill the aspirations of the sisters and brothers of Goa. Congratulations Pramod Sawant, Sadanand Shet Tanawade and our workers.”

Counting of votes was underway in five states- Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.

The BJP is set to return to power with a comfortable majority for an unprecedented second term in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is poised for a historic victory in Punjab, according to election results and trends on Thursday.

In the other two states of Manipur and Goa, where polling was also held in February-March, the BJP has emerged as the single largest party and is on track to form the government. (ANI)
