Bookings open for 2022 Maruti Alto K10

Customers will have to pay a nominal amount of 11,000 rupees to book it. Customers can pre-book it by visiting the Maruti Suzuki Arena dealer or the company’s official website. If the reports are to be believed, Maruti Suzuki could launch its new generation Maruti Suzuki Alto on August 18, 2022 (Maruti Suzuki Alto k10 lauch date). Alto 800 sales will continue even after the launch of the Alto K10.

The new alto is coming on the new platform!

If reports are to be believed, the new generation of Maruti Suzuki Alto is built on the company’s modular Heartect platform. The new Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio, the new Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, the new Maruti XL6, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga operate on this platform. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara which comes on the same platform will also work.

It is believed that the new Alto could be launched with two gasoline engines. These could also include the new K10C 1.0-liter twin-turbocharged unit with the 796cc engine. It’s important to know here that the new Maruti Suzuki S Presso also gets the new K10C 1.0-liter twin-jet unit. The new engine from Alto can get 67 hp and 89 Nm of power output. He will get a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is also possible that the company may also include AGS or AMT units in it. Apart from this, customers can also see the new CNG version of Alto.

What will the price be?

According to media reports, the new generation Maruti Suzuki Alto can be launched in the Indian market between Rs 4.15 lakh – 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom). If the prices remain the same, it will be the cheapest car from the company, which will be inferior to the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso in terms of price.

Who will compete?

Maruti Suzuki Alto is the best selling car in its class. In such a situation, the new Alto will face direct and tough competition with Renault Kwid in the Indian market.
