According to reports, the Ayan Mukerji directorial is gearing up for an opening day with over Rs 32 crore till evening. If the trend continues in the evening and night shows, Brahmastra can easily approach the collection of Rs 35 crore in Hindi. This number not only becomes the opener to date, but also the non-holiday record.
Brahmastra is headed towards an estimated All India gross of Rs 40 crore
As for the South Indian dubbed versions, Telugu, Tamil and other dubbed versions are estimated to collect a gross of Rs 5 crore, with Telugu leading the way.
Pinkvilla reports that the Telugu version is expected to gross around Rs 3.5-4 crore. Brahmastra’s all-India gross is expected to be around Rs 36 crore. The total gross goes north of Rs 42 crore.
National chains – PVR, INOX and Cinepolis – are estimated to collect Rs 17 crore nett on the opening day.
Brahmastra has done well in the international market, the global opening will be above Rs 50 crore.
While the crowds in the multiplexes of the big cities are enormous, the mass centers are also becoming more and more popular. After KGF 2, Baahubali 2 and War, it was the highest booking during the advance screenings. The film benefits from high ticket prices because audiences prefer the 3D and IMAX versions over 2D.
Now it will be interesting to see how much the film can earn by Monday. As far as the trend suggests, the film may cross the 100 crore mark this weekend.
