Byju’s becomes first Indian company to sponsor FIFA World Cup


New Delhi: Online education platform Byju’s has registered a big achievement. Byju Raveendran’s company Byju’s has become the official sponsor for the FIFA World Cup 2022.

The tournament is to be held in Qatar in November-December 2022. The tournament will begin on November 21 and the final match will be played on December 18.

Byju’s is the first Indian firm to be associated with the FIFA Football World Cup. Not only this, BYJU’S is the first edtech brand to sponsor this tournament all over the world.

By becoming an official sponsor, Byju’s will now have access to the FIFA World Cup logo, badge and assets. The company will be able to do unique promotions and distribute them to football fans around the world. Not only this, Byju’s will also be able to offer educational content to young fans as part of the partnership. 32 countries of the world will participate in the FIFA Football World Cup.

Recently raised around Rs 6000 crore

Byju’s recently raised $800 million (about Rs 6000 crore) in funding. Byju Raveendran is also part of this fund raising and he has also made private investment of $ 400 million. After this, Raveendran’s stake in the company has increased to 25 per cent. With the latest funding, 

Byju’s is valued at $22 billion. It is the world’s most valuable ed tech company. The company is also going to bring its IPO in the next 9-12 months.
