CBSE Class 10 English board exam: Last minute preparation tips

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to conduct the Class 10 English exam tomorrow i.e. on December 11, 2021. As per the new education policy, CBSE conducts a two-term board-exam pattern.

To make the students familiar with the exam pattern, the board releases the sample paper with marking scheme every year. Students can check the sample papers of all subjects on the official website of CBSE i.e. cbseacademics.nic.in.

CBSE Term 1 English Exam Pattern

1. The question paper consists of three sections.

2. Section A-Reading contains 18 questions. Out of which you have to attempt a total of 14 questions as per the specific instructions for each question.

3. Section B-Writing and Grammar contains 12 questions. Out of which you have to attempt a total of 10 questions as per the specific instructions for each question.

4. Section C-Literature contains 30 questions. Out of which you have to attempt 26 questions as per the specific instructions for each question.

5. All questions carry equal marks.

6. There is no negative marking.

Last-Minute Tips for the Exam

1. Understand the Exam Pattern

It is important for you to be aware of the exam pattern of CBSE Class X English paper. As it will help you to get familiar with the pattern and you can make a strategy for preparation in advance, which question needs to be solved first and how much time to give to a particular question, etc.

2. Focus on Concepts

No matter how much you read But you need to make sure that your concepts are clear. You have to prepare the complete syllabus. It is necessary to have complete knowledge of NCERT textbook.

3. Revision of Important Subjects

Instead of studying new concepts in the last few days, focus on revision. Pay extra attention to the important topics that carry more weight. Also solve previous year question papers and sample papers.

4. Solve Sample Papers

Lastly, do not forget to solve the sample papers as this will help you to improve the atmosphere of the examination hall and check your performance level. Solving sample papers will help your mind think with that speed even when you are under pressure.
