New Delhi: The Uttarakhand government on Wednesday issued fresh guidelines for Char Dham Yatra, making registration and e-pass mandatory for ‘darshan’.
According to the new SOP issued by the state government, registration and e-pass will be mandatory in all the four Dhams. Along with this, it is necessary for the devotees to have either both the doses of the COVID-19 vaccine or the negative COVID report not older than 72 hours.
This comes a day after the Uttarakhand High Court removed the daily limit of devotees visiting the Char Dham.
According to reports, the High Court had earlier fixed the maximum number of devotees who can visit the temples daily, 1,000 for Badrinath, 800 for Kedarnath, 600 for Gangotri and 400 for Yamunotri in view of the coronavirus outbreak.
