Chinese President Xi Jinping suffering from mental illness, being treated with traditional medicines

Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping is suffering from brain disease ‘cerebral aneurysm’. According to media reports, he had to be hospitalized at the end of 2021 due to brain disease.

The report revealed that Xi Jinping preferred treatment with traditional Chinese medicine, which softens blood vessels and shrinks aneurysms, rather than surgery.

Speculations were being made about poor health

There has been speculation about Xi Jinping’s ill health. The speculation intensified when he avoided meeting foreign leaders until the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Earlier in March 2019, during Xi Jinping’s visit to Italy, he was having trouble walking. Later during the same tour in France also, he was seen taking support while trying to sit. Thus, during an address to the public in Shenzhen in October 2020, his delay in attendance, slurred speech and coughing spree, all pointed to his poor health.

Know what is ‘cerebral aneurysm’

Actually, the weakening of the blood vessel in the brain from one side and bloating like a balloon is called cerebral or brain aneurysm. This condition can occur in any part of the brain. The disease is more common in people who have high blood pressure, genetically impaired nerves, infections, injuries and brain damage or tumours.

China is surrounded by troubles

While China’s economy has faltered due to rising oil and gas prices, the Ukraine conflict has disrupted supply chains. Meanwhile, China is under tension due to strict implementation of ‘Zero Kovid Policy’. Meanwhile, the finding of Xi Jinping’s ill health is only going to add to China’s troubles. Xi is preparing to be re-elected for a third five-year term later this year. He has attempted to portray China under his rule as more prosperous, influential and stable.
