Speaking to PTI, Dipoo said: “The recovery is slow. He’ll be fine soon. He is stable and on a ventilator. He’s still unconscious. It’s been 35 days but doctors say they’re doing their best. We need all your prayers.”
Raju’s brother continued, “He is being treated at AIIMS and we will take him home after he recovers. We have faith in the doctors.”
Earlier, his chief advisor Ajit Saxena reported that Raju opened his eyes and tried to move. He also tried to interact with his wife.
Saxena told a media outlet that Raju has been trying hard to get back to normal and his wife is helping him every step of the way. The comedian’s health is “steadily improving,” he said.
His chief adviser added that the actor is trying to interact more via signs and gestures, but is unable to fully interact.
Raju Srivastava was accepted into AIIMS Delhi on August 10 after collapsing after suffering a heart attack while working out at the gym. Initially, Raju’s body did not respond well to the treatments, but the doctors gave in. But now he has been slow to respond and is gradually recovering.
Meanwhile, Raju reportedly developed an infection last week. Doctors advised that only one person should stay with him in the hospital. His daughter Antara Srivastava also released a statement last week mentioning that his health is now stable.
