Congress on mass protests, Section 144 imposed in Delhi


New Delhi: Congress will take to the streets today over rising inflation and unemployment in the country. Congress today called for a nationwide protest.

Congress workers will protest against the central government in many parts of the country today. All Congressmen will also take part in the demonstration.

Congressmen will take a march from Parliament House to Vijay Chowk in Delhi and also visit PM Modi’s residence.

Congress leader Alka Lamba said there will also be a protest outside the Raj Bhavan in Himachal Pradesh. She said the whole country is fighting inflation and unemployment.

‚ÄúCongress is against the policies of the BJP government on the streets. The central government wants to suppress the opposition by abusing the ED, but we are not afraid,” she said.

Delhi Police issue recommendation

Delhi Police have issued a new warning amid Congressional demonstrations. The recommendation said traffic could be affected in many areas of Delhi.

Security tightened in Delhi

Security has been tightened in Delhi in the face of congressional protests. Delhi police have set up barricades on Akbar Road. Section 144 was imposed in New Delhi area except Jantar Mantar.
