COVID-19: Now six members can register using one mobile number on Co-WIN app

New Delhi: Amid rising cases of COVID-19 across the country, the Central Government on Friday informed that instead of the existing limit of four members, now six members can be registered on Co-WIN using a mobile number.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed that a new utility facility has been launched under raising an issue in the Co-Win account, through which the beneficiary can change his/her current immunization status from fully immunized to partially vaccinated or partially vaccinated. India’s cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 160.43 crore after more than 70 lakh vaccine doses were given in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Friday.

According to government data, 70,49,779 doses of vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours. As a result, the total number of vaccines administered as of 7 am today stands at 1,60,43,70,484 as per provisional reports. The Health Ministry said that this has been achieved through 1,72,80,628 sessions. The ministry also informed that 68,61,926 precautionary doses have been given so far.

Meanwhile, India reported 3,47,254 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours and the daily positivity rate stood at 17.94 per cent, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday.
