After winning a silver medal at the 2019 World U23 Wrestling Championships, Gehlot became only the second Indian women wrestler after her sister Geeta Phogat to win a medal at the prestigious event.
Pooja was awarded Bharat Kesari by Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs in 2018. In 2017, he also won a gold medal at the Asian Junior Championship in Taiwan.
