CWG2022 Wrestling Live: India’s wrestler Anshu Malik lost her ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games final and broke down in tears on the court.

India’s wrestler Anshu won the silver medal after losing to defending champion Nigerian player 6-4. However, the Indian wrestler challenged the decision but was dismissed as her defeat became 7-4.

This is the third gold medal in a row for Nigerian player Odunayo Adekuoroye

CWG2022 Live Fight: Anshu Malik Previous Records

Anshu’s first breakthrough performance came during the 2017 World Cadet Championships. He won the gold medal in the 60kg freestyle category. Malik had previously won two bronze medals at the World Cadet Championships, before winning the gold.

He won his first major silver medal at the World Youth Wrestling Championship in 2018. He bagged the silver in the 59 kg category during the event which took place in Trnava, Slovakia.

Anshu Malik has proved his mettle at the Asian Championships on two occasions. Malik managed to win the gold medal, his first in a major international event, during the 2021 Asian Championships held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She has made a name for herself and is a feared contender on the Asian circuit.
