New Delhi: India played their first T20I against South Africa on Thursday and it was a dream match for the hosts as they dominated it from the first blow.
After electing to field first, Deepak Chahar opened the attack and took the first wicket at the end of the over. It was South Africa captain Temba Bavuma who fell victim to Chahar in the sixth ball and the delivery left him speechless.
The India bowler had managed his signature swing to get Bavuma out for a duck while cleaning him up in Thiruvananthapuram.

Arshdeep Singh made things worse for the visitors as he went on to take three wickets in his tally. South Africa could only manage 106 runs and lost by 8 wickets after the partnership of KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav.
KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav scored unbeaten fifties as India defeated South Africa in the first T20I by eight wickets while chasing a target of 107. After a rough start, Suryakumar Yadav (50 not out in 33) gave the much-needed boost to India’s pursuit. In the wake of the early dismissals of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, KL Rahul (51 not out from 56) has also found his footing.
