Deepak Chahar warns South African players


Inside: India battles South Africa in 3rd T20I. Although the hosts have already won the tournament, the visitors are playing for pride.

In spectacular innings, Rilee Rossouw hit an unbeaten century with 48 balls while Quinton de Kock hit 68 runs. South Africa has brought a total of 227 runs on board.

During the game, Indian bowler Deepak Chahar had a mankad chance, but he kept it with a huge warning to the South African player.

What is mankad and how is it different?

The term “mankad” stands for the run-out executed when the batter on the non-striker end exits the crease before the throw. In the third ODI against England, Deepti Sharma managed to sack England player Charlie Dean during the game’s dramatic climax.

India won the draw and opted to bowl first in the third 3rd T20I against South Africa at Indore.

“We go to the field first. It’s a high-scoring pitch, I don’t think the pitch will change much, so it’s nice to know what goal we have ahead of us. Three substitutions for us, Kohli and KL are out and Arshdeep is out because of some problems with his back,” Rohit Sharma said after the throw.

“It’s a precaution, nothing serious. We have Shreyas Iyer, Umesh Yadav and Siraj with us. We want to keep challenging ourselves, keep improving and beat in the same way,” he concluded.
