The Congress leader said, “All Congressmen have marched towards Rashtrapati Bhawan to raise the issue of inflation and price rise, but they are not allowing us to go any further.”
“Our job is to take up people’s problems… Some MPs were detained and even beaten,” Gandhi added at Vijay Chowk.
Earlier in the day, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a press conference saying, “Democracy is coming to an end.”

The Congress members also started their protest when the Delhi Police refused permission. Congress members wore black to condemn inflation and the Agnipath scheme.
As a result, paramilitary forces and Delhi Police resorted to barricading Vijai Chowk Road and the road leading from Parliament to the President House.
Congress leaders also planned togherao’ the PM house.
Meanwhile, the saffron party has alleged that the Congress is trying to divert attention over the raid by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the National Herald case.
