Delhi roads to be pothole-free within a month, says Manish Sisodia

new Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday said roads in the national capital would be pothole-free within a month, adding that action would be initiated against the engineers concerned if any defects were found.

Sisodia, who was given the charge of Public Works Department (PWD) on Wednesday, held a meeting with officials to review the progress of development projects. During the meeting, Sisodia directed the officials to inspect a total of 1300 kms of roads falling under PWD Delhi; Patches, which require any repair, should be fixed within a month.

He directed the officials to ensure that the roads should be repaired in an efficient manner, without any delay or fuss. If any defect is found then action will be taken against the engineers concerned.

Sisodia also directed the officials to launch a mobile app for the public to avail PWD services.

He said, “PWD Delhi will soon launch this mobile application which will allow the residents of Delhi to access better services and register their complaints on the spot. This application will help the residents of Delhi to register their grievances against poor road infrastructure. will enable lodging of complaints.” ,
