Delhi’s air quality continues to remain in ‘very poor’ category with overall AQI of 347

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘very poor’ category for the eighth consecutive day on Sunday.

New Delhi: According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘very poor’ category for the eighth consecutive day on Sunday.


However, the overall air quality index declined from 355 on Saturday to 347 today. Earlier on Wednesday, announcing emergency measures to reduce pollution, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that by November 21, there will be 100 percent work from home for government departments.


Rai had informed that construction and demolition work has also been banned in Delhi till November 21, while schools and other educational institutions in the national capital will remain closed till further orders.
