Delhi’s air quality improves to ‘very poor’ category, AQI drops to 347


New Delhi: According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), Delhi’s air quality saw improvement on Tuesday as it moved into the “very poor” category with the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 347.

The level of PM 2.5 and PM 10 in Delhi’s air was 181 and 287 respectively.

AQI between zero and 50 is ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 and 500 ‘very poor’ considered serious.

The AQI in the national capital is expected to further improve in the next three days and in the ‘poor’ category from the current situation.
